A customer recently returned from travelling in China and was not allowed to take her Li-ion battery with her on an internal flight out of Shanghai, despite having all the correct documents. The customer has travelled in many countries and this is the first time she has experienced a problem. The manufacturer, Freerider Corp from Taiwan, has responded by saying that the batteries have been approved by the Chinese authorities, but this obviously has not trickled down to the airport staff on the ground. So please be careful and be prepared to be disappointed if you are planning internal flights in China. We will keep you posted on developments.
